John Bul Dau Visit - October 2011

In October 2011 John Bul Dau, Lost Boy of Sudan, travelled to Stillwater from Syracuse, New York to provide an evening public presentation for the Stillwater community and to talk with 300+ Geography students in classrooms. John is featured in the National Geographic film God Grew Tired Of Us and authored the books God Grew Tired Of Us and Lost Boy, Lost Girl: Escaping Civil War in Sudan. He was named a 2007 National Geographic Emerging Explorer and is a 2008 Volvo For Life Award recipient. Learn more about John's life and work by visiting the John Dau Foundation online.

Books were sold by Valley Bookseller and t-shirts by H2O For Life. Also represented was the organization Books For Africa. John's visit was made possible by Stillwater District #834, the Stillwater Noon Rotary Cluband individual donors. Lodging was generously provided by the Water Street Inn.
